Places to stay & things to do
A few practical notes for planning wedding-week travel. The short version: stay near Fremont or Newark for the first few events, and stay closer to Hollister for the wedding and reception if you can.
Nearest airports
SJC - San Jose Mineta International Airport
Usually the easiest first check for the Fremont, Newark, and South Bay events. It is also workable for the Hollister weekend if you are renting a car.
SFO - San Francisco International Airport
Best for many long-haul and international routes. Plan extra buffer for Bay Area traffic if you are heading straight to Fremont or Hollister.
OAK - Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport
A useful East Bay option, especially for domestic flights and guests staying near Fremont, Newark, or Union City.

Hollister, Gilroy, or Morgan Hill
Best for the wedding and reception at Leal Vineyards. If you want the shortest late-night drive after the reception, stay closer to Hollister.

Santa Cruz

- The boardwalk if you're feeling a little crazy
- Natural Bridges for a beachy sunset
- Drive down Highway 1 north for many beachy views
San Francisco
- Haraz Coffee House for Yemeni tea or coffee
- Tunnel Tops in the Presidio: grab food from the food trucks, then walk up to the Golden Gate Bridge
- Ippudo for yummy ramen
